Blake Griffin is easily the rookie of the year at this point of the season, and will continue to be unless some kind of injury happens. Anyways, I actually watch a lot of Clippers action, since I can’t bring myself to watch the Lakers night in and night out. Griffin is on his way to 400 dunks this season, (leading the NBA), and this one above occurred Sunday night, and I had to go back and re-watch it on youtube today because of it’s awesomeness. This has happened on many occasions, so I figured it was time to throw one up on the blog. This babble has made me feeling Blake Griffin for the dunk contest more than voting Monta Ellis into the All-Star game. I mean, the guy already said he wants to be in it, soooo what’s the holdup!?! If you need some more convincing, here’s his best dunks for the month of November, if that doesn’t convince you, I guess you just don’t like basketball.

Damn, Chap. You beat me to this.
I was gonna post this same video.
I still might anyway. Blake’s a bad ass.

Yeah man, every game he plays you get at least one wow moment if you wait long enough! I wouldn’t mind watching it again if you posted it too!

It’d appear that everyone was jumping on the Wall bandwagon merely because one or two good games for the Wizards. Whereas Griffin has simply made the Clippers something to talk about at present . If he doesn’t win the ROY award then the beat writers who cover the league ought to quit writing and covering the NBA !

I actually think Landry Fields is #2 on the ROY list over John Wall. You have to play in the games to qualify for the award 🙂

There’s no denying that <a href="http://nba.com/playerfile/landry_fields/" Fields has been terrific this season but simply put Griffin has been outstanding ! And given the fact that this in essence is his first full ear after his mishaps upon his entry after the NBA Draft (2009) you can’t but admire what he’s accomplished.
Since When Did Mediocrity In The NFL Become Synonymous With The State of New York And In Particular New York City ?

Chappy,
I don’t know if I’d have the Mavericks first. The Spurs keep on beating great teams. The question is: Will they run out of gas or have enough juice to finish the job.
Given San Antonio’s age, I could see them buckling in the last minute against a team like Dallas but there is more of a likelihood of that not happening than there is.
Blake Griffin has been incredible so far this year. I guess I wasn’t aware that dunks were a stat the NBA was keeping track of. His seems to be yolking it in people’s faces a lot.
