I’m not usually big on gushing about every new site I run across, but the NBAplaybook.com is the exception to that rule. I spent numerous hours on the site reading most of the myths that they busted. It might not be the site for you if you aren’t into basketball, but yesterday they broke down a subject near and dear to me on whether Stephen Curry and Monta Ellis can play together, which made me want to write a post to recognize this site. Obviously this matchup is a nightmare for any team when they are on offense, but can be exposed when they are on defense. Monta has backed off his original statement from last year which is refreshing, so hopefully the mythbusters are right and they can play well together. If you love analysis and overanalyzing things like free throws, footwork, and Dwight Howards post game, then you will love this site. Just be sure you have some time to read for a bit!

That is a very cool site. I am impressed with how much attention to detail they have…

I prefer Doin Work, sportschump.net, and a number of other sites of the like for my NBA analysis, but I’ll give them a shot.
By any chance, do they know where Carmelo Anthony will be playing this season?

You’re right Chris, Doin Work and Sportschump.net are way better than this site, but since we don’t cover everything, I guess you have to outsource a little π
I hear Camelo wants to stay with the Nuggets hahaha!

‘melo is now being linked to Starbury and playing in China ? Like I said what has China done to deserve this ? LOL,LOL,LOL !!!

The more important question is why the hell would Melo want to play in China?!? I doubt the Nuggets could get fair value if they traded him there!

Amongst the myth busters on that site can they explain how Stern says that the $250 million loaned to several NBA teams wasn’t a bailout ? And are they able to explain how it is that the NBA players who’ve been caught with ‘weed’ merely get a pass by the league’s hierarchy when Stern himself has been trying to state the league’s image in near and dear to him .

You should propose that to them, maybe they’ll figure it out somehow π
Personally I don’t think guys should get punished for weed, but maybe it’s because I live in Cali!

I do, if they then choose to get behind the wheel of a vehicle as it’s no different than driving drunk . You’re inhibitions and reaction time is slowed immeasurably and that’s a proven fact.

So the Nuggets balked at sending ‘melo to the Nets ? To my mind that still wouldn’t put the team in a position to mount a serious challenge in the East . Prokhorov and the coaches there will need to assess the roster and look at ways of making it a great deal better than it already is .

So ‘Melo does but now Martin doesn’t?
Shame that team never accomplished anything. They had a sick amount of talent.
October 4th, 2010 at 8:59 am
All due respect to Paris Hilton but isn’t K-Mart a box store ? The last time Kenyon Martin did anything of note in the NBA I think that David Stern was proposing that ‘weed’ shouldn’t be seen as detrimental to the ‘image’ of the league.
