A couple weeks ago I got to take part in a little spring training for the upcoming wiffle ball season. In case you missed it back in December, Golden Stick Wiffle Ball League is expanding into Northern California next year. Here’s some highlights courtesy of Tony Wagoner. I’m the guy taking all the called strike threes looking, but make no mistake about it, those other guys are some ballers. There’s some filthy stuff here.
If you’re in Northern California – from Santa Cruz to Alturas, Crescent City to Visalia – check out www.wifflebawl.com for more information on tournaments, leagues, etc.

Hahaha! I’m glad you got to get out there and see the pitching. It’s insane how good some of the pitchers are! I think we got mercy ruled the first game we ever played, but we did win one out of the four we played that day. The win was enough to get us back out there!

Back in the day, my boys and I would play have mean wiffle ball matches.
We’d put duck tape on one side of the ball to get some wicked movement.
On occasion, I’d even go all underhanded Dan Quisenberry on ’em.

The post you put up about a month ago got me inspired to pick up the plastic again. Now I’m playing in a league every Sunday in Santa Monica. It’s a good group of guys and the “commissioner” even keeps stats. I still need to get my riser going like I had it back in the day.
Love the wiffle stuff!
