I have to say that Mikhail has grown on me. I didn’t know a whole lot about him when he bought the Nets, but over the past few weeks he’s shown me his great personality that many spoke of when they dubbed him the Russian Mark Cuban. He might not be the best speaker, but maybe now that he’s around Jay-Z more he can pick up some cool slang terms, and will make them sound funny in his accent. If I were an NJ fan, I’m sure I’d be in love with the guy. I WANT to know what his secrets are, and that’s probably the way he wants it…
If he really wants to be a winner, here’s a little scenario that would make them an instant contender. Phil Jackson is reportedly supposed to take a paycut next year, and it made me wonder if the billionaire can do the impossible. Lure Lebron, and pay Phil whatever he wants next season to come to NJ. It’s a slightly far fetched idea at the moment, but we know Lebron wants to be a global icon, maybe not in Russia, but that does make him global. And we also know that Phil isn’t taking a discount for coaching, especially if he wins back to back championships this year, shouldn’t that mean he gets a raise instead of a pay cut? I know I wouldn’t take a pay cut!

What indeed will Prokhorov make as a promise to lure LBJ to “Crooklyn” ?
1) Gloria James gets to be in a Jay Z video ?
2) She gets to be one of the buxoms chicks that Prokhorov usually likes to be seen in a club with ? … she’ll need to have breast implants .
3) He promises to put a hit out on Delonte` West
4) No one from now on refers to LBJ as a “bust”
5) No talk will be made of the Nets being a top tier and elite team in the NBA
6) He’ll teach LBJ Russian just as long as LBJ teaches him how to talk ‘jive’.
If that comes to past then LBJ is a shoo-in for Crooklyn
Gloria James says she’s never had a black Russian so she’s asking if Prokhorov can do her a favor and get her one just for good measure .

If he pulls out Delonte`’s ‘nads from up his sleeves then we know that he’s had quite a productive off-season .
Once you get past those first five or six picks in this upcoming NBA Draft I don’t know that you’ll find a great deal of talent there. But it remains to be seen what happens on the day itself. I’m sure that there’ll be some horse trading amongst the teams and one or two trades themselves of experienced veterans.

I’ll refrain from dropping the “I must break you” Prokhorov lines as that’s been done before, but obviously this guy is good for the league.
Now let’s see he can do with that franchise. He’s gonna have to get creative with that third pick since after Wall and Turner, there appears to be a considerable drop-off.

Pity with that alleged high IQ of his he didn’t listen to what several economists had told him originally about issuing bonds and borrowing to the hilt . Now he more than anyone else is to blame for the state’s financial mess.
