Brett Favre, The Indecision

Our favorite sports DJ is at it again. DJ Steve Porter already brought us the Press Hop, and we posted Press Hop II here. Now it appears he has made his splash into the Favre controversies. Not much to analyze in it, but one thing is for sure, I hope he keeps doing it! Oh and in case you were wondering he doesn’t ONLY do sports. He makes mixes with funny infomercial re-mixes too!

And you can imagine the guys inside ESPN having premature ejaculation merely because Brett is back ? Mortensen , Clayton and Schlereth are all either in angst or emotionally drained because of their love of all things Brett .

Who knew Brett had so much rhythm?

How much time do you think it takes Brett to order when he’s out to dinner?

Sir, um, I’m sorry, but we’re closing. Would you mind putting in your order now?

Financial records show Pittsburgh Pirates make money off losing

PITTSBURGH (AP) β€” Don’t feel too sorry for the cellar-dwelling Pittsburgh Pirates. Losing has been profitable.
The Pirates made nearly $29.4 million in 2007 and 2008, according to team financial documents, years that were part of a streak of futility that has now reached 18 consecutive losing seasons. The team’s ownership also paid its partners $20.4 million in 2008.

The documents offer a rare peek inside a team that made money by getting slightly less than half its income (about $70 million) from MLB sources β€” including revenue sharing, network TV, major league merchandise sales and MLB’s website. The team also held down costs, keeping player salaries near the bottom of the National League, shedding pricier talent and hoping that untested prospects would blossom.

The club’s earnings were included in nearly 40 pages of statements that the Pirates submitted to Major League Baseball and were recently obtained by the Associated Press. Team officials briefed local reporters on portions of the material Sunday. The AP wasn’t invited to the session, which owner Bob Nutting said was “aimed at the recent leak.”

If the A’s don’t spend some money this year, I’m going to start worrying the way Pittsburgh fans should be worrying! That’s really sad though… Gotta give back something to the fans. We know that Pittsburgh can support teams, just not losing ones that take advantage of them. I hope the three fans they have left boycott all their games next year…

You know how the fans get paid back in Pittsburgh don’t you ? The whole organization simply sh_ts in their laps and they accept it by repeatedly coming back to PNC Park M because they love the mediocrity and futility on the field of play. πŸ™‚

Brett’s indecision is that anything like LeBron’s decision in any way ? Two rather self indulgent ” tools” don’t you think ?

How much of a dick must Jim Furyk be right about now ? Simple adage golf isn’t a sport no matter how many ways you try to spin it ! Click on link to read story in its entirety .

Furyk disqualified from Barclays for being late

PARAMUS, N.J. (AP)β€”Jim Furyk picked a bad time to sleep in.

Furyk overslept Wednesday after his cell phone alarm clock lost power overnight, causing him to be late for his pro-am tee time in The Barclays. That left PGA Tour officials no choice but to disqualify him from the first of four FedEx Cup playoff events.

A two-time winner on tour this year, Furyk is No. 3 in the standings as the race for the $10 million prize gets under way at Ridgewood Country Club without him.

It is unlikely he will fall too far down the standings, although he eliminated any chance of improving.

β€œI’m kicking myself,” Furyk said. β€œI have a way of climbing into situations that are all my fault.”

Furyk sets his alarm on his cell phone, and he awoke at 7:23 a.m. to find out that his phone had lost power. He threw on some clothes and shoes, bolted out of his hotel room and rushed to Ridgewood, arriving at 7:35 a.m.

The pro-am was a shotgun start that began at 7:30 a.m. Furyk was to start on the 11th hole, and he realized when he arrived that he had no chance of getting there on time.

Furyk was in such a rush that he did not put on a belt or socks, and he still had not tied his shoes.

The PGA Tour adopted its policy on pro-ams in 2004 after some players began skipping the Wednesday events for suspect reasons. Now, players automatically are disqualified from the tournament if they miss the pro-am except for injury or family emergency.

Retief Goosen was disqualified from the Nissan Open in 2005 when he overslept and missed his pro-am.

Furyk said was the second time in his career that he had overslept and missed a pro-am time. The other occasion was years ago at Bay Hill, when an alternate filled in for two holes until he arrived. That possibility no longer exists under the new policy.

Although he said he was upset about not playing Ridgewood or the tournament, Furyk said the worst of his disqualification was β€œto possibly, severely hurt a good year.”

β€œI played my heart out all year,” Furyk said. β€œI’ve got no one to blame but myself.”

    =======================

Idiots come a dime a dozen but Furyk has shown himself to be a complete ass !

Haha that’s pretty funny. I guess next time he’ll make sure his phone is charged! If he misses the top 30 for the final tourney he’s going to be pissed he missed this one!

His phone was charged but he probably had it shoved in his rectum in order for him to get stimulated. Now that Woods is no longer married he has no more excuses as to the mediocre state of his game. With him now playing as an afterthought as part of the Fedex Cup playoff system let’s see what he now has. Because come Ryder Cup time he’d better have his sh_t together !
