I’d never even heard of the Independent Spirit Awards, but apparently they exist, and are important enough to garner getting some stars to attend. I pretty much can’t stand any award show these days, but almost always enjoy the opening monologues. I mean, who doesn’t enjoy someone poking fun at all the people about to receive awards and even the award show itself. If you watched the Oscars last night you were probably disappointed by Billy Crystal’s opening monologue, I know I sure was. Maybe it was because Billy couldn’t cuss on national TV, so it came out dry. Let’s face it though, Seth is funnier than Billy.

Nothing explains narcissism and ” look at me and how I’ve done “ than Hollywood glad-handing patting themselves on the back with their annual awards !
Rogen has only done two worthwhile movies ” Knocked Up “ and ” 50/50 ”
So Selig is p##ed at the Braun ruling ? How comes he and his underling haven’t berated the lab and dumb (lab) employee who Fedex’d the player’s sample to his home rather than have it delivered directly to testing facility or even MLB’s HQ ?
A Point Guard , A Point Guard , My Kingdom For A Point Guard
Stupid Is As Stupid Does …. Fu#k , It’s Baseball I’m Talking About …… !
Let me know what you think ?

I actually just saw 50/50 a week or so ago, that was a pretty good movie. I thought Rogan was pretty good in Pinapple Express as well, but maybe that wasn’t your flavor of movie.
Selig actually cares about something?!? Now that’s some news!!

This is great!
Check out Seth Myers’ opening monologue at the ESPYs, it’s a riot!
February 29th, 2012 at 9:40 am
Oh yeah, I kinda forgot about that one!

Rogan funnier than Billy Crystal, Chap?
Come on, dude.
I’m hereby putting you in time out.

Cmon, you really thought his opening for the Oscars this year was good? I almost flipped the channel before it was even over!
February 29th, 2012 at 6:33 am
That monologue was definitely in the spirit of the “Independent Spirit” awards. Maybe they should put the Oscars on cable so the host can let fly like Seth did.
February 29th, 2012 at 9:42 am
Seriously, and who doesn’t have cable these days anyway!

Pineapple Express was good but I can’t stand James Franco ! I saw him in retelling of Planet of the Apes …. “Rise of the Planet of The Apes” but you know when a fine piece of hot ##s like Freida Pinto is up on screen your eyes tend to be elsewhere !
So Ryan Braun feels vindicated because a dumb a#sed lab rat (technician) Fedex’d his (Braun’s) test samples to his home (technician’s) rather than to the lab’s testing facility . Wow ! And Bud Selig and his deputy Rob Manfred are p##sed at the arbitrator , Shyam Das , for his decision rather than being angered by the idiocy of the lab’s employee ? No wonder baseball is in such a ####$ing mess under Selig’s tenure !

You know that you’re at an award show that no one attending cares about when the sound of silverware hitting plates drowns out the speakers voice.
