The Marlins leaked what their new jerseys will look like when they open next season in their new glorious stadium in Miami. All I can say is the guy who made them must be color blind. Yes I understand that the actual marlin fish has the three colors on it, but do they need all three on the M, on the caps? Those three awkward colors to put into any color scheme let alone a professional team. AAA team, yes, but not a pro team. Maybe it was the double rainbow guy helping them out, because they must’ve been on some kind of drugs to come up with these. Who would want to buy this cap and sport it around town? There’s noway you’d ever catch me in an orange cap with a yellow bill. Seems like they should’ve made the whole thing orange or the bill black at the very least. Why would you copy the Giants colors, when you’re nowhere near the Castro District where the rainbow colors will actually be a big hit!?! If they fill up the stadium, lets hope the fans kept their old gear instead of buying this new crap.

You know, I was just thinking about Pittsburgh the other day and how it’s cool that all of their pro teams have the same colors (black and yellow, black and yellow, black and yellow), and no other cities really do. Looks like Miami now has two of their teams sharing a color scheme – Marlins and Dolphins. Can’t wait for the Heat to go Teal, Orange, and Yellow!

Too bad the Spurs took Silver and Black or I’d want the W’s to take on those colors…

The Marlins can change the style of the uniforms but it won’t change a damn thing about how bad the team have been in recent years ! You don’t dress up a sow and call it a pig and this is what ownership just happens to be doing .
So now Heavy D has bit the dust ?

I dunno man, I hear their ready to spend now. They even brought in Pujols. Not sure what that all means, but we’ll see if they make some free agent splashes…

Where is Loria going to get the money from ? He may well be the owner of fine pieces of Objet d’art . But he hasn’t spent money on this organization in years . Now because of a new stadium things are going to change overnight ?
Neither Pujols or Jose Reyes are about to sign with the organization . Loria hasn’t the financial wherewithal and the front office in terms intelligence isn’t that bright !
The idiots seated on the Miami City Commission have been repeatedly duped the guy and it shows no signs of abating !

This was the very first time I saw or heard of this. What struck me right away was the TV show “Miami Vice.” The way “Miami” appears across the jerseys reminded me of the graphics from that show. I definitely think those Dolphins had a “hand” in the colors as well. I’ll wait to see them actually in play before I pass final judgment but my initial opinion is while I didn’t see a thing wrong with what they were wearing…these are a little bit “out there.”
November 11th, 2011 at 5:10 pm
I think you hit the nail on the head with the Miami Vice refrence. It’s tough to say they are terrible until you see them actually printed on real clothing, but based on these designs, I’ll jump to a conclusion!

These are like Oregon’s football uniforms had a date-rape-drug baby with those horrible 70’s Astros togs.

Let’s hope they look better in person than they do in that diagram.
You’d think, being in Miami, they’d be able to get some cool deco colors.
We’ll see.
I can’t wait to hear Ozzie bitch about ’em, he he.
November 11th, 2011 at 5:11 pm
Good call on Ozzie! I’m sure he’ll say something. Seems like they should’ve taken the Heats Red and Black instead of Miami’s fruity colors…

I can’t see the Pats losing three in a row so I have to pick New England
Werner: the retail mall I work inside has one of those in the window so it’s the first thing you see every morning. Bright Astros Orange
