Kid Calling Out Lebron

Couldn’t have said it better myself kid. One point he failed to mention is that the dunk contest rules have now changed, so instead of having to think up six dunks for two rounds, they now only have to think up three dunks in a one round winner take all format voted on by fans. With only one round, I have to think one wouldn’t have to expend as much energy and is another reason I don’t understand why Blake Griffin isn’t going to try and defend his title. Blake said he was exhausted after last years all-star break,  but with less to do to defend his title you have to wonder why he wouldn’t give it a go.

  They still HAVE that dunk contest? Didn’t some guy named “Kia” win it last year? 🙂

  Great points by this kid, I think that if the Dunk Contest were LeBron, Kobe, Drose, Westbrook and Griffin every year, we could all be happy.

  A Slam Dunk Contest ? What Stern still believes that this excites the crowds and elicits their enjoyment ? Why not have LBJ regale us on when the Heat …. will win the first of not one , not two , not three , not four , not five , not six NBA titles ? When I last look LBJ in conjunction with this organization had yet to win one and that’s bearing in mind their ###s poor performances against the Mavs in the finals last season .

  The problem with the dunk contest is that they’re out of ideas. And this new thing where they’re doing all of the voting online? ridiculous. How is that fair? The judges were in place because they knew why certain dunks were better than others. There are a lot of issues I have with All Star weekend.

  Don’t tell me they’re having the skills competition again this year…they’re not are they?

    I hate to tell ya, they are having the skills challenge. I have to agree with you that the AS weekend is pretty weak in pretty much every sport, but I always do enjoy the rookie-soph game. I wish they would put horse back in and have some players actually take some interesting shots…

      I’d watch horse before I’d watch the skills challenge. Hell, I’d shoot horse before I’d watch the skills challenge. Maybe that’s their target audience – people who are just so smacked out they don’t really realize they’re watching competitive passing.
