Sterling and Sheen

Today, Donald Sterling, released this promo above saying that 1,000 underprivilaged kids and thier parents can go to a game for free in support of Black History Month. Sterling is well known for being racist, heckling his own players, and not caring about anything that doesn’t effect his pocket book. Not sure what you can read into this poster since Black History Month was obviously in February. All kinds of unintentional comedy with this one. The picture is classic, because Sterling has probably one of the whitest black guys out there for the ad. Only reason I say that is because my girlfriend always calls me White instead of Asian… I’d nominate Al-Farouq Aminu, because he descends from a line of Nigerian kings.

Speaking of crazy people that make little to no sense with their actions, Charlie Sheen has made himself into the most quotable guy in recent memory. I’ve always been a fan of Sheen, he had me with the Chase and Major League. I don’t know many people who liked Two and a Half Men, but he’s living the lifestyle that many men wish they could. Yes, he’s got major problems, but his problems don’t seem all that bad when you are constantly winning! I watched him on the Today Show interview and shortly after on his TMZ interview, and thought it would be fun to make a list of my favorite quotes from his wild non-drug enduced tirade.

Drugs and Winning

“I am on a drug, it’s called Charlie Sheen. It’s not available because if you try it you will die. Your face will melt off and your children will weep over your exploded body.”

“The only thing I’m addicted to right now is winning,” “Just winning every second,” “Winning, anyone?” “Duh, winning!”

“Drug tests don’t lie. Scoreboard doesn’t lie. Duh. Winning.”

On Himself

“Come on, bro, I won best picture at 20. I wasn’t even trying. Wasn’t even warm yet”

“I tried marriage. I’m 0 for 3 with the marriage thing. So, being a ballplayer — I believe in numbers. I’m not going 0 for 4. I’m not wearing a golden sombrero.”

“I’m tired of pretending I’m not special. I’m tired of pretending like I’m not bitching a total fricking rock star from Mars, and people can’t figure me out; they can’t process me. I don’t expect them to. You can’t process me with a normal brain.”

On Rehab aka His House

“We couldn’t really call it rehab because we didn’t have a license to operate one, so it was a crisis management center that we labeled the Sober Valley Lodge. Its primary client achieved radical success.”

“AA was written for normal people. People that don’t have tiger blood and Adonis DNA, I survived drug addiction because I’m me. I’m different. I have a different constitution, I have a different brain, I have a different heart. I got tiger blood, man.”

That’s a lot of quotes from one man in two days. There were some others, but this was already getting longer than I expected, because every thing he says is pure gold! I wouldn’t mind being on the drug called Charlie Sheen, unless he is right and it does kill you… I’m going to try and incorporate as many of his quotes into my daily life as possible.

My wife and I watched part one of his interview last night. Normally I don’t care when celebrities go crazy, they’re all kind of weird, but this was awesome. The part about tiger blood and Adonis was great. I wonder if he could get Casey Affleck to follow him around with a video camera and document all this stuff.

Dude, I would love to see a documentary on Charlie over the last year or so! He looks like he’s been up for a week straight, and took over for Mr. Death like Peter Griffin did on family guy. One quote I didn’t get up there was about the wedge as in him wedged between two girls.

    Sheen is priceless.

And for the record, that network had no problem whatsoever with Charlie’s demeanor when the ratings were higher. I think that’s the real issue. When your drug problem outweighs what you’re bringing to the table, you’re toast. I think that’s what happened.

Yeah, I’m sure the ratings had everything to do with it. I actually watched the show from time to time. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t that good either, so I can see why the rating dropped, because it becomes a tiresome plot over and over. Did you catch the 20/20? Classic stuff right there!

I was thinking the same thing today… “That’s a LOT of quotes from one guy!” There were some you posted that I hadn’t seen yet….. My favorite still though is ‘ I am on a drug, it’s called Charlie Sheen. ‘ Pretty sure I’ll be using that all week.

I did catch that “I’m on a drug, it’s called Charlie Sheen” line.

I’m betting every athlete that ever referred to himself in the third person wish they had come up with that one first.

Sheen does stand a chance of resuscitating his career if he takes it on the road to perhaps Libya , Tunisia or even Iran ? I’m not so sure ’bout Sterling and the Clippers because like I said once Griffin’s rookie contract is up ………. he’s haulin’ ass out of there no matter what ! They couldn’t pay him enough to remain in that God forsaken place !

The fans in LA ought to be suing the Clippers under the FTC’s “Trades Description Act” because other than Griffin nothing being played there at present actually resembles NBA basketball !

Let me know what you honestly think about the following ?

I think Sheen’s career is far from dead. He doesn’t care what people think that much. He just wants to try to make them see where he’s coming from which is Planet Charlie.

It would be so hard to play for sterling. Baron should’ve known better when he thought Brand would re-sign there after already suffering under sterling for 7 seasons!

His career is dead as far movies and comedic television now goes ! What insurance company do you know who’d be willing to underwrite a project involving him as its star ? C’mon now let’s face facts here ! Why throw away illions on his untalented a_s when you could get someone on the cheap without the major risk ?

The only thing he might now be good for is “porn” and that’s based on his so called voracious sexual libido and drug habit .

You of all people ought to know that there’s no common sense within the Clipper’s front office much less the coaching staff . Look at the years with Baylor as the GM ? That should be enough of an indictment don’t you think ? What was actually significant about those years besides the sheer ineptitude and mediocrity ?

These kids could end up being traumatized from the experience of not only meeting Sterling but simply watching the Clippers play ! No young child should be put through such a torturous experience !

A losing environment simply isn’t healthy for kids of such a tender age as it foments underachievement !
